How it works

Explosion Welding technology uses explosive detonation to produce high voltage pulse energy, pushing cladder to collide with backer at a specific velocity and impact angle, finally achieving a metallurgical bonding between different metals.

The process does not melt either metal, instead plasticizing the surfaces of both metals, causing them to come into intimate contact sufficient to create a weld. and explosive welding causes no change in microstructure, and corrosion resistance of the layers is not affected.

Explosion welding can join a wide array of compatible and non-compatible metals; with more than 300 metal combinations possible.
